Morson Edge are working with a major UK infrastructure programme delivering one of the country's most significant energy projects, supporting long-term security of supply and the UK's Net Zero ambitions. As the project continues through its construction phase, we are seeking an experienced Building Architectural Contract Engineering Lead to join the London-based design delivery team on a 12-month contract (Inside IR35).
The Role
Embedded within the site buildings design delivery team, you will take responsibility for the architectural and building design delivery across a defined package of works. This role focuses on managing design from concept and basic design through to detailed design, ensuring quality, safety, programme, and compliance requirements are met. You will work closely with internal discipline leads and external design partners in a highly regulated, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design delivery of contract buildings to agreed programme, quality, and safety standards.
- Act as the principal technical point of contact and Responsible Designer for your scope.
- Coordinate design activities across multiple disciplines and external partners.
- Develop and manage scopes of work and technical specifications.
- Oversee design reviews, gateways, and constructability assessments.
