Procurement Officer Barrow-in-Furness (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite) £23 per hour PAYE plus holiday accrual 6-month contract – BAE Systems
We’re recruiting for a Procurement / Supply Chain Officer to support key delivery programmes at BAE Systems in Barrow. This is a great opportunity to work in a regulated, project-driven environment with a leading defence organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Support end-to-end procurement activities across major programmes
- Develop and manage procurement plans
- Assist with tendering, supplier selection, and contract award
- Support supplier negotiations and performance management
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry regulations
- Identify and manage procurement risks and issues
- Experience in procurement or supply chain within construction, infrastructure, or similar sectors
- Understanding of contract management and supplier performance
- Familiarity with procurement processes and governance
- Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts (desirable)
- Experience in regulated or public sector environments (beneficial)
