Drillers Wanted – Barrow-in-Furness
Ready to put your drilling skills to work on world-class engineering projects? Our client is looking for experienced Drillers to join our team in Barrow on a 12-month contract.
If you enjoy precision work, solving practical challenges, and being part of a team that takes pride in quality craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:- Work safely at all times, complying with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Interpret and work to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Select and inspect the appropriate tools and equipment required for drilling and stud welding operations, ensuring they are safe and fit for purpose.
- Verify completed work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
The successful candidate will be competent in:
- Drilling to depth
- Drilling clear holes
- Flat-bottom drilling
- Countersinking
- Reaming
- Tapping
- Counter boring and back knifing
- Facing
- Stud welding
- Completed and approved apprenticeship in a relevant engineering or manufacturing trade.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Standard Days: £20.10 per hour
- 3 on / 4 off Days: £24.12 per hour
- Umbrella rates are also available. Full rate card available upon request.
