Site Engineer - Highways Site Engineer | Banwell, Somerset | £450 per shift | Long-Term Contract We're currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways and civil engineering project in Banwell, Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant infrastructure scheme requiring expertise in drainage, setting out, and quality assurance.
Working alongside an established site team, you'll play a key role in delivering a complex highways package, supporting both site operations and technical assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities Carry out accurate setting out for highways and civil engineering works.
Support the delivery of approximately 7km of drainage works, including installations at depths ranging from 1m to 5m.
Set out carrier pipes and filter drainage systems in line with project requirements.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and quality standards.
Assist with QA documentation, inspections, and records.
Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and operational teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
Utilise robotic total stations and Auto CAD for setting out and engineering activities.
Support temporary works coordination and implementation where required.
Essential Experience Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on highways and civil engineering projects.
Experience delivering drainage packages.
Knowledge of highways construction, kerbing, and associated infrastructure works.
Good understanding of quality assurance processes and site documentation.
Auto CAD experience.
Qualifications Valid CSCS Card.
Relevant civil engineering qualifications advantageous.
