Freelance Commercial Administrator - Facilities Management & Construction Capital Projects
Location: Remote / UK-based with potential site visits
Duration: Freelance Contract - Immediate Start

We are seeking a highly capable Freelance Commercial Administrator eager to support the delivery, transition, and mobilisation of a major Hard and Soft Facilities Management contract for a key UK Government department. This is a critical role that will drive the successful delivery of a high-profile service mobilisation, requiring strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and programme governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery programme to develop and implement the client transition plan, coordinating all stakeholders across functional workstreams in close collaboration with our commercial and operations teams.
- Build strong working relationships across the project team, ensuring active engagement with workstream owners to drive delivery of the transition programme.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely reporting to key stakeholders and sponsors, including plan updates and management of RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
- Oversee the seamless handover from transition to operations at go-live, ensuring stabilisation is well-managed.
- Drive successful closure of mobilisation, ensuring lessons learned are captured, shared, and embedded into best practices.
- Manage and update the project plan on monday.com, aligned with client strategic and tactical goals.
- Identify and allocate resources as required to meet daily delivery demands throughout the transition phase.
- Ensure effective stakeholder management, escalation processes, and governance are maintained and adhered to.
- Lead on change management initiatives to ensure objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain all programme documentation and coordinate its collation to support overall delivery and audit readiness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in programme management within facilities management, with construction experience essential.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects and familiarity with Tenders and pre-construction, preferably within or for government bodies.
- Strong stakeholder and team management skills with a collaborative approach.
- Familiarity with project management tools, especially monday.com.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and reporting skills.
- BPSS Clearance is essential.
