Role Overview – You will be part of a team in charge of looking at top/recurring issues that are happening on several aircrafts (A300 /A320/A330) operated by our customers. We will run the subsequent engineering studies to understand the root causes, evaluate the impact on airworthiness and launch the appropriate actions so that these issues do not happen ever again.
These tasks mean interacting a lot with several different departments within the company, such as Chief Engineer Offices, In-Service Engineering & Technical Data departments but also outside the company such as the Landing Gear suppliers (Safran Landing Systems, Collins Aerospace, Liebherr) or our engineering service partners.
Responsibilities:
- Identify jointly with the In-Service Engineering Department the top/recurring issues affecting the Landing Gear products in-service. This includes Major In-Service Problems and events potentially affecting the airworthiness of the fleets.
- Run the associated engineering studies, in liaison with the Landing Gear suppliers, to understand the root cause of those issues and propose solutions which could be as important as an equipment redesign.
- Answer to very reactive queries (sometimes in less than 4 hours) coming in through the In-Service Engineering department in order to limit the time customers' aircraft are stuck on-ground due to Landing Gear equipment failure. Handle customers requests for Technical Publication updates and/or clarification.
- Help developing engineering solutions or studies such as envelope cases aiming at providing ready-to-use material to the customer facing teams in order to limit the impact of in-service operational interruptions caused by issues linked to Landing Gear systems or equipment.
- Grow your technical skills and knowledge about Landing Gear products in order to become autonomous in your tasks.
