We are seeking a talented and motivated Gas Designer to play a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions across a range of utility infrastructure projects. You will be involved throughout the full design lifecycle, from initial site surveys through to producing detailed technical drawings, while developing your expertise alongside experienced engineers and project teams. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor industry best practices, recommend new design approaches, and identify emerging trends
- Develop high-quality design concepts, collaborating with internal stakeholders and incorporating feedback
- Support all design phases, including project setup, programming, detailed design, and CDM documentation
- Request and review statutory plans (STAT plans)
- Provide technical support to the wider design team
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external consultants to deliver projects
- Liaise with clients, third parties, and subcontractors to resolve design issues
- Produce weekly design reports and present updates to senior stakeholders
- Conduct site visits and surveys to inform designs and produce as-laid drawings
- Attend and lead pre-design and walk-off meetings with clients
- Ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations
- Maintain and update Health and Safety documentation
