Role purpose: Support delivery of on-site Asset Verification by undertaking structured asset walkdowns, capturing asset data and photographs, and completing data templates to a defined hierarchy and standard.
Key activities & responsibilities:
- Asset capture / inventory: Identify and record all accessible on-site assets (process, estates and services) in the agreed format.
- Hierarchy recording: Record assets using the defined in-scope hierarchy layers (Process, Sub-Process, Equipment Unit, Asset, Sub-Asset) and the client's existing hierarchy approach.
- Condition assessment (visual, non-intrusive): Photograph assets and record a numerical condition grade per client standard.
- Photography: Capture three photos per asset where practicable (boilerplate/nameplate, asset, location) and ensure traceability/metadata in line with instructions.
- Process understanding: Assist with review and/or production of a simple Process Flow Diagram (PFD) / block diagram for the site.
- Data quality: Highlight unclear items, missing labels, access restrictions and discrepancies for Senior review record assumptions/limitations as instructed.
- Safety & access compliance: Work to approved RAMS and site rules do not attempt activities outside RAMS escalate constraints (e.g., confined spaces/at height/live process areas/below ground where outside RAMS).
Deliverables (per site):
- Junior contribution - Completed asset capture templates (asset list + attributes + hierarchy level).
- Photo set per asset (3 where possible).
- Inputs to simple PFD / block diagram and site notes.
Experience / skills (typical):
- Essential: Practical experience in industrial / utilities / facilities environments (maintenance, inspections, surveying, asset tagging, or similar).
- Able to recognise common asset types across mechanical/electrical/civil/instrumentation and record details accurately.
- Strong attention to detail confident using Excel/templates and taking consistent photos.
- Desirable: Water / wastewater site familiarity.
- Exposure to asset registers / CMMS / asset hierarchy concepts.

Role purpose: Lead on-site Asset Verification delivery for assigned sites, ensuring safe execution, high-quality data capture, correct hierarchy allocation, robust recording of confidence/assumptions, and completion of all required outputs (asset list, condition grades, photos, PFD).
Key activities & responsibilities:
- Site delivery leadership: Plan and lead site walkdowns manage daily priorities and ensure coverage of all safely accessible assets within scope.
- Verification versus existing records: Systematically identify discrepancies between recorded data and observed assets (omissions/inaccuracies/unrecorded assets) and document clearly.
- Hierarchy & structure assurance: Own the correct classification and allocation of assets to hierarchy levels (Process ? Sub-Process ? Equipment Unit ? Asset ? Sub-Asset) and ensure consistent application across the site.
- Condition grading governance: Ensure numerical condition grading is applied consistently and supported with photographic evidence.
- Photography standard & traceability: Enforce the "3 photos per asset where practicable" requirement (boilerplate/nameplate, asset, location) and check that photo sets are traceable to asset records.
- PFD ownership: Review existing PFDs and produce/validate a simple PFD / block diagram capturing the site's key process steps and asset groupings as required.
- Safety leadership & constraints management: Ensure work is safe, proportionate and non-intrusive confirm RAMS compliance explicitly record verification confidence and assumptions where full confirmation is not achievable flag non-verifiable assets.
- Access coordination / escalation: Recognise restricted areas where client-authorised attendance is required (e.g., electrical cabinets, screened chemical areas) and coordinate/raise constraints appropriately.
- QA/QC & mentoring: Check Junior outputs for completeness/consistency coach on asset identification, photography discipline, and hierarchy rules.
