Main Responsibilities:
- Carrying out scheduled weapons maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft as detailed in the relevant scheduled maintenance. This work includes but is not limited to: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor rectification and supervision of personnel.
- Maintain the technical quality and airworthiness of Typhoon aircraft by assuring individual inspection standards meet the requirement of the RSAF/DA approved technical publications, M&CA Mandates and the SMU QMS.
- Responsible for raising independent inspections, conducting vital or mandatory inspections as required inline with second signature responsibilities.
- Perform the daily inspections required to meet and maintain the programmed schedule of maintenance.
- Assist with work environment checks, housekeeping checks, cleanliness checks and FOD control.
- Completes SMU forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation.
- Ensures his authorisations are current for the tasks in hand.
- Highlight to his Team Leader areas of his or others inexperience or training requirements needed to complete his or their daily tasks.
- Complies with the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders and publications.
- Assist the QA department with investigations arising from customer enquiries and complaints.
- Complete all mandated training, ensuring training validity dates remain current.
- Complete any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by your line management.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship.
- Qualified to NVQ/C&G Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline or a technical apprenticeship or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
- OR Part 66 Licensed (current or lapsed) or suitable equivalent technical License acceptable to M&CA.
- At least 7 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training or 3 years on same aircraft type.
- Relevant type training or Typhoon Q course.
- Relevant equipment specific training.
- Experience of working within a Typhoon aircraft maintenance organisation.
- Good interpersonal communication and briefing skills.
- English Language Proficiency.
