Morson Group are seeking a qualified Architect or similar to lead design teams and take responsibility as the Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act and CDM regulations. The role requires ensuring full compliance of designs with Building Regulations and maintaining the "golden thread" of safety information.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Compliance: Take reasonable steps to ensure the design complies with all relevant building regulations and safety standards.
- Principal Designer (BR): Act as the lead design dutyholder, planning, managing, and monitoring design work from RIBA Stage 2 onwards.
- Safety Coordination: Review fire safety, structural integrity, and building regulations compliance at every stage.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records, technical specifications, and compliance declarations to meet BSR requirements.
- Coordination: Actively manage and cooperate with other designers, contractors, and clients to ensure design integrity and safe construction.
Required Competencies & Qualifications: Demonstrable knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Approved Documents.
