Mechanical Engineer – IIA Design Reviewer We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer – IIA Design Reviewer on a contract basis to join the Client’s Pressure Compliance team. The successful candidate will review piping design documentation, provide independent assurance, and collaborate with delivery partners and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality, safety case, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Review design documentation against relevant requirements and report findings to the Pressure Compliance Lead. Document observations clearly and support convergence meetings to resolve issues promptly. Coordinate with other teams to ensure surveillance activities are completed and reported on schedule. Provide accurate surveillance data to support performance indicators. Identify potential issues early and contribute to developing effective mitigation measures. Maintain a proactive outlook on current and planned team activities. Qualifications and Experience Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational training with relevant experience. Proven experience designing piping systems within a regulated environment. Practical knowledge of design codes and standards such as EN 13480, ASME III, and RCC-M. Strong understanding of engineering construction, materials, trade practises, and legal requirements. Familiarity with documentation demonstrating compliance with pressure regulations. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality in a high-pressure environment. Desirable Attributes Experience producing or reviewing piping component and system design documentation for pressure regulation compliance. Knowledge of EDF specifications for piping components and systems. Proficiency in French
