Morson are recruiting for an experienced Rope Access QAQC Inspector to join an offshore project on the Nelson Platform. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile North Sea asset, providing quality assurance and quality control support across coatings, insulation and passive fire protection activities.

The Role

As a Rope Access QAQC Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring all coatings, insulation and passive fire protection (PFP) works are completed in accordance with project specifications, industry standards and client requirements. You will carry out inspections, monitor quality standards, identify non-conformances and produce accurate quality documentation, while promoting a strong safety and quality culture onboard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct QAQC inspections of coatings, insulation and PFP activities
  • Verify work is completed in accordance with project specifications and procedures
  • Monitor workmanship and identify quality issues or non-conformances
  • Produce inspection reports and maintain accurate records
  • Liaise with offshore management and client representatives regarding quality matters
  • Participate in audits, inspections and quality meetings
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a QAQC Inspector role within the offshore oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of coatings, insulation and passive fire protection systems
  • Current IRATA Rope Access certification
  • Experience interpreting specifications, drawings and inspection procedures
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Desirable Qualifications

  • NACE, ICorr or equivalent coating inspection qualification
  • Previous PFP inspection experience, including knowledge of Chartek systems
  • Insulation inspection experience
  • Experience working on offshore maintenance and integrity projects
