This is an exciting opportunity, potentially extending to around two years, for a Lead/Principal Technical Safety Engineer to join the team supporting the necessary upgrades for the INEOS FPS Kinneil terminal to carry it through to end of life operation beyond 2040.
The selected candidate will be an effective team player, driven by excellence and self-motivated to produce high quality technical safety documentation in line with agreed project budgets and timescales.
You will initially join a technical safety project team comprising an experienced Lead/Principal Technical Safety Engineer and a Technical Safety Engineer from our Manchester office (working remotely) but will soon be expected to be leading work packages in your own right.
Additional technical safety support is available from our Manchester based team of 8 staff Technical Safety Engineers, ranging from graduate to principal engineers and led by an experienced Chief Design HSE Engineer.
You will be expected to liaise with other discipline leads, mainly based in the Aberdeen office, to identify hazards, ensure risks are reduced to ALARP and produce assessments and specifications for typical technical safety deliverables including, but not limited to:
- Risk assessments
- F&G detection
- AFP and PFP assessments and specifications
- DSEAR assessments
- HAC reports and drawings
Additionally, you will manage 3rd party consultants to produce QRA, F&G Mapping studies etc.
Experience of working on projects for UK COMAH regulated sites is essential. Recent experience with PHAST is desirable. Experience of INEOS FPS standards and procedures would be advantageous.
