A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join their cybersecurity team supporting the UK and Europe. In this role, you will design and build secure, scalable backend services and modern AWS infrastructure. This is a hybrid position, requiring three days per week in either the London or Manchester office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and NestJS.
- Build, deploy, and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Develop, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient microservice deployments.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices across IAM, networking, and compliance to ensure secure and resilient systems.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and extensive experience provisioning infrastructure with tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript and JavaScript, including Node.js and NestJS.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management (IAM), networking, and encryption.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
