We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Engineer to join a dynamic technology team within a leading banking environment. This role sits at the heart of a fast-paced Salesforce ecosystem, where you will help shape, support and enhance a critical CRM platform that underpins key customer and business services.

Working closely with the Salesforce Leaders, you will contribute to both the ongoing stability and the continuous improvement of the platform. You will be responsible for supporting live operations, resolving user issues, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day Salesforce activity, while also playing a key role in delivering new functionality and enhancements.

A core part of this position involves taking ownership of incoming incidents and service requests, driving them through to resolution and ensuring users receive a high-quality support experience. You will also collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to refine requirements and contribute to the delivery of robust, scalable solutions.

Beyond operational support, you will be actively involved in platform development work, helping to design and implement enhancements aligned to architectural direction. This includes working within established engineering standards, contributing to solution design, and ensuring all changes are appropriately documented and controlled.

You will also support integration activity between Salesforce and surrounding systems, using appropriate integration patterns to enable seamless data and process flow across the wider enterprise landscape. Strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners will be essential to deliver end-to-end solutions effectively.

The role operates within an Agile delivery environment, making use of modern tooling such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps to manage work, deployments, and release activities. You will be expected to follow DevOps practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in delivery and quality.

A strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and development is essential, including hands-on experience across declarative tools as well as custom development where required. You will also play an active role in peer reviews, solution validation, and maintaining high standards of technical quality.

All activities will be carried out in accordance with the organisation’s risk and compliance framework, with a strong emphasis on governance, control, and timely escalation of issues where appropriate.

Key experience:

  • The ideal candidate will bring experience working as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Exposure to Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) is highly desirable.
  • Strong capability across Salesforce Lightning, Flow automation, and security configuration is expected, along with familiarity in Apex development (including triggers and batch processing) and Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience with Omnistudio (including Omniscripts, Flex Cards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures) will be highly advantageous, particularly in enterprise-scale implementations.
  • Additional experience integrating Salesforce with external or legacy systems is important, along with exposure to identity and verification tools such as Onfido or Experian being a plus.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications, including Administrator, Platform App Builder, Developer, and Omnistudio certifications, would be beneficial but are not essential.
