We are working with a leading wealth management organisation seeking an experienced Investment Product Manager to support the development and ongoing management of the firmโs investment products and solutions. This role sits within a growing investment proposition function and offers the opportunity to influence both the current and future investment offering across a broad range of products, including multi-asset funds, alternative investments, segregated accounts, C&E portfolios, and self-select solutions.
As Investment Product Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring investment products remain competitive, commercially viable, compliant, and aligned to delivering good customer outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and ongoing management of wealth investment products and solutions.
- Keeping the customer proposition team and wider business up to date on market trends, competitor activity, and the evolving regulatory landscape impacting wealth investment products, identifying opportunities this presents.
- Developing a strong understanding of cost-to-serve and commercial drivers for each investment product family, contributing to pricing and proposition recommendations.
- Working with data analytics colleagues to be accountable for MI across all investment products and solutions, building a detailed, data-led understanding of the existing customer base.
- Owning the end-to-end customer journey and experience across wealth investment products and solutions.
- Partnering with client-facing operations and second-line teams to review customer journeys and ensure delivery of a best-in-class client experience, maintaining accurate journey documentation.
- Conducting annual end-to-end product reviews, target market assessments, and fair value assessments in line with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
- Ensuring products remain suitable for end investors and continue to deliver good customer outcomes, feeding findings into relevant governance forums and being accountable for follow-up actions.
- Establishing appropriate product controls, testing their effectiveness, and operating in line with risk management frameworks.
- Maintaining robust product documentation and governance materials.
What Weโre Looking For:
- Strong experience in a product development or product management role within the investment or wealth management industry.
- Deep knowledge of investments, investment vehicles, funds, segregated accounts, and current industry trends.
- Strong understanding of personal banking investor types and the products and services offered by UK wealth managers.
- Proven experience developing MI dashboards to monitor Consumer Duty outcomes, fair value assessments, and periodic product reviews.
- Knowledge of sustainable and responsible investing, including relevant regulations such as SDR and SFDR.
- Strong understanding of the financial drivers and commercial considerations of wealth management products and solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence effectively and build relationships at all levels within Wealth plc and across the wider group.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practice, including PROD, Consumer Duty, MiFID, COLL, IDD, and AIFMD.
- Experience presenting technical and non-technical information clearly and confidently to senior audiences.
- Analytical and data-driven, with confidence interpreting data to support recommendations and decision-making.
