We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead Automation Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of end-to-end automation solutions across our global operations. You will lead automation projects from ideation through to build, testing, deployment, and post-production support, combining deep technical expertise with solution design skills.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with business analysts, process owners, and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and ensure successful delivery. You will also mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding, documentation, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead the full lifecycle of automation projects, including idea generation, requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. You will design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), building and optimising flows that integrate with Microsoft 365 apps and third-party services.
A critical part of the role is facilitating workshops and translating business requirements into technical solutions, while maintaining and enhancing existing automation solutions for reliability, scalability, and performance. You will proactively recommend improvements, stay current with advancements in RPA, AI, and related technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
As a senior technical leader, you will mentor and guide junior developers, conduct peer reviews, and help enforce best practices in coding, documentation, security, and compliance.
Skills, Experience & Technology
The successful candidate will have significant hands‑on experience delivering complex automation solutions and a strong solution architecture mindset. Experience in Agile/Scrum teams and exposure to regulated environments is desirable.
