We are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager with a strong background in retail with experience in integrating legacy and mainframe applications into modern WMS platforms, managing large offshore delivery teams through third-party SIs and maintaining rigorous financial discipline across a multi-million pound workstream budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery of assigned workstreams, managing scope, schedule, risks, issues and dependencies to agreed milestones.
- Maintain a clear and current delivery plan, proactively identifying and escalating blockers before they impact programme timelines.
- Take full accountability for the workstream budget, including ongoing forecasting, variance tracking and financial reporting.
- Operate in a high-visibility environment with exposure to senior leadership, represent the workstream confidently in programme-level forums and governance meetings.
- Lead day-to-day coordination of multiple third-party system integrators operating across different geographies and time zones.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager on large-scale application integration programmes, specifically integrating legacy or mainframe systems into modern platforms.
- Demonstrable experience with Azure and mainframe application environments.
- Direct experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Retail, FMCG, supply chain, logistics or distribution sector background.
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing programme budgets in the range of £1M+, including forecasting, PO raising, actuals tracking and finance tracker ownership.
- Proven track record coordinating multiple third-party system integrators and managing predominantly offshore delivery teams.
- Primary delivery experience in Waterfall, with working knowledge of Agile sufficient to manage third parties operating in that framework.
