We are supporting a rapidly growing financial services organisation that is investing heavily in its actuarial reporting, valuation, and modelling capability. As part of this growth, they are seeking an Actuarial Consultant (4+ years’ experience) to support life assurance valuation, reporting, and Prophet model development and testing on a contract basis.

This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end valuation processes, financial reporting cycles, and advanced actuarial modelling within a flexible, remote-first environment, working alongside a highly experienced actuarial team.

In this role, you will contribute across both BAU and project work, with a particular focus on Prophet modelling, including model development, testing, validation, and ongoing enhancement. You will support life assurance valuation processes covering reserves, assumptions, and results analysis, as well as financial and regulatory reporting under IFRS and Solvency II.

The position involves analysing valuation movements and key financial drivers, supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting cycles, performing reconciliations across valuation bases, and maintaining robust model documentation and governance standards. You will also play a role in improving processes, controls, and automation, while communicating results and insights effectively to stakeholders.

The role focuses on life assurance business across annuities, protection, and unit-linked products, with an emphasis on Prophet-based cashflow and projection models, assumption setting, and experience analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ actuarial experience within life assurance valuation, reporting, or modelling, along with progress toward IFoA (or equivalent) qualification. A strong understanding of life insurance products and valuation principles is essential, as is hands-on experience with actuarial models—particularly Prophet (development, testing, or production runs).

Strong Excel and VBA skills are expected, with SQL, SAS, or data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau considered advantageous. You should bring a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts.

This contract offers an outside IR35 engagement, a competitive day rate, and an initial 6–12 month term with strong likelihood of extension. You’ll benefit from a remote-first working model, exposure to end-to-end actuarial work, and the opportunity to contribute to a high-growth organisation supported by an experienced and collaborative actuarial team.
