I'm working with a fast-moving software team building genuinely impactful solutions for the energy sector and they need a Lead Developer. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with real influence over architecture, tooling, and team culture. If you're a Senior developer ready to step up (or already leading) and want somewhere your voice actually counts, this is worth a look.

The role

  • Lead hands-on delivery of complex features.
  • Own CI/CD workflows and tooling in Azure DevOps.
  • Mentor developers and act as the primary technical escalation point.
  • Work closely with the Lead Architect, Test Lead, and Product team.

What they're looking for

  • Strong C# / .NET commercial experience at senior or lead level.
  • Deep Azure knowledge — SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Grid.
  • Practical Kubernetes experience: containerisation, Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines.

Package: £70,000–£80,000 base salary | Share options | 25 days holiday + bank holidays | Private healthcare | Pension | Free parking | Hybrid (Wigan)
