Your role will be to direct line manage a high performing team of 3 Engineers, working directly with C-Suite and other senior stakeholders to deliver new features and enhanced functionality as the bank continues to grow, with a focus on ensuring the platform is both secure and scalable.
You will also be directly involved in vendor management and will need to enforce SLAs with technical oversight, ensuring technology providers are meeting their agreed obligations and looking at how risk capacity can be reduced long-term.
To be successful, you will:
- Come from a hands-on coding background, preferably with strong experience in Python
- Have previously delivered cloud-native systems, preferably with AWS
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, both from a technical and people management perspective
- Have been directly involved in managing technology vendor relationships and enforcing agreed service levels
- Have spent and developed your career within financial services, ideally retail or commercial banking
This is a highly visible, business-critical role where you will have direct ownership of the bank's largest revenue generating service.
The organisation operates a hybrid working policy of minimum 2 days per week in office (either London or Manchester) and with expectation of occasional travel to other key locations in the UK.
