A high growth payments business is looking to appoint an experienced Regulatory Compliance professional into its UK team on an initial 6 month contract. This role sits at the centre of the business, working closely with product, operations and senior stakeholders to ensure regulatory expectations are met while supporting ongoing commercial growth. It’s a hands-on position with real exposure to how products are developed, launched and governed in a regulated payments environment. You’ll play a key role in translating regulatory requirements into practical, workable solutions, partnering with the business to navigate FCA expectations across payments and e-money activity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to product and business teams on UK regulatory requirements across payments and e-money
- Supporting regulatory reporting and ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and aligned to expectations
- Conducting compliance due diligence across partners, third parties and financial institutions
- Reviewing and assessing outsourcing arrangements, ensuring appropriate oversight and governance is in place
- Carrying out risk assessments across new product initiatives and ongoing business activities
- Monitoring regulatory developments and identifying potential impacts to the business
- Embedding and maintaining a risk-based compliance monitoring approach across products and processes
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to strengthen controls and ensure regulatory alignment
- Supporting a range of ongoing compliance initiatives and projects

- Proven experience in UK regulatory compliance within payments, fintech or financial services
- Strong understanding of FCA requirements, particularly across e-money and payments frameworks
- Experience working closely with product teams, ideally supporting product development or change initiatives
- Ability to interpret regulation and apply it in a commercial, practical way
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging across seniority levels
- Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Solid understanding of governance, controls and risk frameworks
