Catastrophe Modelling Manager - London (Hybrid) Up to £120K plus benefits

An established and growing specialty insurer is seeking an experienced Catastrophe Modelling Manager to join its Exposure Management team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of catastrophe risk analysis across a broad and diverse portfolio spanning multiple lines of business, working closely with underwriters, actuarial teams, capital modelling specialists, and senior management.

Opportunity

You'll lead the assessment, analysis, and reporting of catastrophe exposures across a global portfolio, helping to shape underwriting strategy and support informed risk-taking decisions.

  • Managing catastrophe modelling activities across insurance and reinsurance portfolios.
  • Producing portfolio accumulation reports and catastrophe risk analyses.
  • Supporting underwriting teams with risk selection, portfolio optimisation, and scenario testing.
  • Delivering insights to senior stakeholders on catastrophe exposure and emerging risk trends.
  • Contributing to capital modelling, regulatory reporting, and portfolio management initiatives.
  • Leading model validation, governance, and continuous improvement programmes.

Experience

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have

  • Strong catastrophe modelling and exposure management experience within insurance across multiple lines of business (Essential)
  • Advanced knowledge of industry catastrophe modelling platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience presenting technical modelling outputs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • SQL, data analytics, and portfolio management experience would be advantageous.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCR, CCRA, or similar are welcomed.
