Senior Software Engineer – Real-Time Data Systems | Investment Management
I'm partnering with a leading global investment manager that is looking to appoint a Senior Software Engineer to join its Technology team on a permanent basis.
This is a hands‑on technical role where you'll be responsible for delivering mission‑critical real‑time and historical market data platforms that underpin investment decision-making.
You'll drive engineering standards, and technical direction of the platform while ensuring scalability, resilience, and production stability across a modern AWS‑based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of real-time and time-series data platforms.
- Design and implement integrations with market data platforms including One Tick, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and other real-time data providers.
- Define technical architecture, engineering standards, and development best practices.
- Build resilient, scalable, cloud-native services and data platforms on AWS.
- Champion platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience integrating with real-time market data platforms, ideally One Tick.
- Strong expertise in time-series databases and analytical data platforms.
- Working knowledge of Java or Python.
- Proven track record of building scalable, cloud-native applications and services on AWS.
- Experience leading the delivery of mission-critical systems using real-time streaming and messaging technologies.
- Deep understanding of financial time-series data, including high-volume market data and data correction.
