My client is a leading investment management business looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst to join their AI & Automation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced business analyst with front office exposure to drive AI initiatives, support digital transformation, and shape the responsible adoption of AI across the business.
The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with investment teams, technology, risk, and governance functions to capture requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure AI solutions deliver business value while meeting regulatory and oversight expectations. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in business processes, AI technologies, and transformation projects.
What is expected by the Senior Business Analyst-AI:
- Support the implementation and adoption of AI solutions across the business, ensuring alignment with AI frameworks and regulatory expectations.
- Capture and validate business requirements, map processes, and assess feasibility, risks, and value for AI use cases.
- Collaborate with developers to design, test, and evaluate AI tools, ensuring appropriate controls, transparency, and human oversight.
- Produce clear documentation, including requirements, process maps, user guides, and governance artefacts.
- Lead workshops, communicate progress, and present insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Assist in supplier selection, due diligence, and RFP processes as required.
- Define and track reporting for AI risks, usage, incidents, and training coverage.
- Keep up to date with AI developments, emerging tools, and regulatory changes, translating these into actionable opportunities or risks.
Essential skills required by the Senior Business Analyst-AI:
- Over 5 years’ experience as a Business or Process Analyst within Asset Management or Financial Services, ideally with front office exposure.
- Hands-on experience with large language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and understanding their limitations, risks, and practical application.
- Proven ability to evangelise AI adoption responsibly and educate stakeholders across the business.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Experience facilitating workshops, presenting to groups, and supporting transformation projects involving AI, analytics, or digital tooling.
- Knowledge of regulatory expectations for AI, data protection, and conduct considerations, with the ability to apply these practically in solutions.
- Expertise in business process design, mapping, and re-engineering, ideally with BPMN 2.0 and tools such as IBM Blueworks, Lucidchart, or Visio.
- Organised, analytical, and proactive, with strong problem-solving and prioritisation abilities.
