A global banking organisation is seeking a Director of Engineering to join their Corporate Banking division to manage a function distribution across the UK, US and Asia and lead the delivery of business-critical client-facing platforms.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a function of approx. 150 resources, responsible for their Virtual Account Management setup, the core of which is built around the Oracle Banking platform.
- Responsible for vendor management, establishing and enforcing SLAs and agreed deliverables, prioritising and managing workload (including backlog of bugs, new features etc.).
- Full autonomy over the engineering function and encouraged to implement your own target operating model, identifying and fixing gaps in the current structure to form a fully effective delivery outfit.
- Major delivery considerations will be lead time, software quality, speed to market and forward planning about topics such as AI adoption.
Qualifications / Experience
- Experience of delivering large technology programmes (multi-million-pound initiatives for critical platforms), overseeing functions through the end-to-end SDLC, driving modern development best practices and tangible business value.
- SME knowledge of Virtual Account Management banking solutions and strong vendor management skills.
