Morson Edge are currently partnering with a well-established and highly respected financial services organisation to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
This would be an inside IR35 contract paying up to £600 per day On a 3 month initial day rate contract focussed on strengthening the organisation’s privacy framework, embedding robust data protection governance, and fostering a culture of accountability and trust.
The role would be based in Manchester, the position offers a hybrid working arrangement with circa 2 days in the office per week The successful candidate will provide independent oversight, guidance, and assurance on all aspects of data protection and privacy, ensuring ongoing compliance with UK data protection legislation and regulatory requirements while supporting the organisation in managing emerging privacy risks.
Key Responsibilities Lead and continuously enhance the organisation’s data protection framework, policies, and controls.
Ensure compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on data protection obligations, regulatory developments, and emerging privacy risks.
Champion and embed Privacy by Design principles across business operations, projects, and change initiatives.
Lead, review, and challenge Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
Deliver regular reporting on privacy risks, data breaches, compliance performance, and key regulatory matters.
