A well-established London Market Insurer is looking for an experienced Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Manager to take full ownership of their resilience framework — from BCP design and crisis coordination through to DR oversight, third-party resilience, and physical security.
This is a broad, high-visibility role where you'll chair the Business Continuity Working Group, lead live and scenario-based testing, and serve as the primary coordinator when things go wrong. You'll work closely with InfoSec, Facilities, and senior leadership, and you'll be expected to report into the board and engage with regulators where required.
What you'll own
- End-to-end Operational Resilience and BCP frameworks aligned to FCA/PRA expectations
- Incident and crisis management — from live coordination to post-incident review
- BCP and DR testing programmes across all critical business functions
- Third-party and outsourced service resilience, embedded into impact tolerance mapping
- Physical security oversight across company premises
- Cyber resilience alignment in partnership with the Information Security team
- Governance, regulatory reporting, and business-wide resilience training
What we're looking for
- Proven BCM/Operational Resilience experience in a regulated UK environment (FCA/PRA essential)
- Strong working knowledge of UK Operational Resilience policy and ISO 22301
- Hands-on crisis and incident management experience — not just theory
- Experience managing third-party resilience risk and supplier incidents
- A confident communicator who can engage boards, regulators, and technical teams equally well
- Someone who can own a governance forum, not just contribute to one
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected Insurance business on what truly is a business critical role.
