On behalf of our client, an established supplier of build-to-print metallic and composite parts, kits and assemblies to the global aerospace industry, we are looking to recruit two Maintenance Engineers to join their maintenance teams. One role will be based at the client's Sherwood site (NG15 ODP) and one at the client's Mansfield site (postcode is NG19 0FT).

In order to be considered, you MUST have the following experience/quals:

  • Completed a relevant apprenticeship and hold an engineering qualification (Equivalent to level 3) as proof of qualification will be required at the application stage
  • A solid engineering background within the machine tool industry
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC maintenance.

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Breakdown Engineer to join our respective facility's maintenance teams. In these critical roles, you will be the first responder to machine failures, responsible for root-cause fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of CNC milling and turning centers to minimize production downtime and keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Carrying out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on all CNC machines
  • Able to work under your own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Minimising downtime
  • Support all aspects of continuous improvement

Knowledge and skills:

  • Experience in a variety of CNC control systems and machine types.
  • Experience of Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Experience in repairing gearboxes, ball screws, pumps, motors
  • Experience in 5 axis machine alignment
  • Understanding of PLC Ladders

Experience and education:

  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship and hold engineering qualification (Equivalent to level 3)
  • A solid engineering background within the machine tool industry
  • Minimum 5 years experience in CNC maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of HSE regulations.

Further Details:

  • Rate: £30.00 per hour (role is INSIDE IR35)

  • Shifts/Hours: The role will involve 4-6 weeks of training and then these shifts: 3-week rotation of Days, Afternoons and Nights, hours as follows: Days - Mon to Thurs, 7 am to 4 pm, Friday 7 am to 12 pm; Afternoons - Mon to Thurs, 2 pm to 10 pm, Friday, 1 pm to 8 pm; Nights - Mon to Weds, 8 pm to 6 am, Thursday, 8 pm to 5 am
