Morro Partnerships are a leading partnerships developer, proactive in driving affordable housing and regeneration across the East and West Midlands. Our ability to adapt and regenerate has led us to become the largest privately-owned affordable housing providers in the Midlands, with over 2,500 plots in our current pipeline. Due to our continued success, we are expanding our Commercial team and looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This position will report to the Head of Commercial and will be the project manager of a number of varied housing schemes across the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in our Leicester office.
Responsibilities
- Procuring and negotiating subcontract packages alongside developing new and existing partnerships with supply chain partners
- Development of cost information working with existing budgets to deliver medium to large housing schemes
- Close liaison with clients and their representatives with formal monthly cost reporting
- Working closely with buying and technical departments to drive efficiencies
- A good understanding of housing projects, especially partnerships housing
Requirements
- Proven experience of working in the construction sector
- The ability to communicate, influence and challenge at all levels to deliver results
- Experience of managing a portfolio of projects
