We are a forward-thinking construction company specialising in social and affordable housing, operating in the East and West Midlands. Due to our continued growth we are looking for an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our team in the West Midlands. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site staff, and liaise with clients and other stakeholders.
What is involved within the Role?
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry with experience in traditional and Timber frame building methods
- Manage and supervise all site activities
- Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to
- Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment
- Monitor progress and prepare regular reports
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and contractors
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
- Ensure quality control and compliance with building regulations
- Temporary Works Coordinator or Fire Marshal training
Experience and requirement:
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certificates (essential)
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good IT skills, including knowledge of project management software
- Full UK driving licence (if UK-based)
- CSCS – Black Card
- NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in Construction Site Management
- Experience in residential projects
