Overview
Throughout the 2-year scheme, you\’ll experience different buying teams across our Meat (based in Colne) or Fruit and Veg (based in Hilmore House, Bradford) manufacturing sites, helping us drive efficiencies and commercial profitability in a fast-paced environment. Your time will initially be spent gaining an appreciation of our operational manufacturing business, followed by a short placement in our stores to learn more about our retail operation.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing raw products to ensure we\’re getting the best quality products for the best prices
- Interacting with our farmers and growers and planning with our sites to deliver great quality food to our stores and external customers
Training and progression
Our structured training and the chance to work on exciting projects means there are plenty of opportunities to progress and learn while with us. You\\\’ll join other Buying Graduates in training and development sessions, such as negotiation training. By the end of the programme, you will have the experience and skills needed to progress into the role of a buyer in either Meat or Fruit and Veg.
