Where will you be working? We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We are problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment. Want to be a part of it?
Responsibilities
- As an External Coach you\'ll be part of our Training and Coaching Team responsible for coordinating the performance and development of circa 500 operational staff on client IT systems and mobile devices.
- You\'ll handle day to day support to Toughbook users, Project Managers, Front Line Managers and the Training Manager.
- You\'ll train, coach and support operational users on all aspects of the client\'s hardware and software, ensuring clear guidelines for the delivery of accurate and timely feedback.
- Carry out Skills Gap Analysis and Competency Assessments to identify further training and coaching needs through regular 1-1 coaching observation sessions.
- Develop and implement an ongoing refresher training program and assist with creating and maintaining Module and Process documentation and Quick Reference (How To) guides, ensuring compliance with current and updated processes.
- Carry out daily validation of reports related to Interruption to Supply feedback, Redlines, Meter feedback errors and create coaching improvement plans as applicable.
- Work alongside and liaise with Front Line Managers, Project Managers and the Training Manager to help maximise performance.
- Be an advocate for Commercial Awareness on the contract.
- Provide telephone support to Operational teams.
- Assist the Training Manager with upkeep of the asset inventory, including MWS mobile phones.
- Manage new starter IT equipment / user requests / Client ID Cards.
- Recovery of IT equipment from leavers in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualities
- Strong time management and ability to meet stringent timescales.
- Ability to take responsibility and challenge existing policies and procedures.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of corporate systems in use.
- Knowledge of Toughbook users\' roles and quality of feedback expected.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to depots throughout the Yorkshire area (role-dependent).
