Where you\’ll be working

MEICA and capital maintenance – Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

What you\’ll be doing

A typical day includes the following activities:

  • Inspect electrical and mechanical systems
  • Inspect oil equipment, including draining and replacing oil systems
  • Inspect fixed equipment, such as ladders, safety bars, grills, etc.
  • Use tooling and measuring equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and layouts
  • Operate lifting equipment and follow approved processes for transporting plant equipment
  • Act as part of a rescue team for confined space entry
  • Support reactive work in the event of breakdowns
  • Inspect machinery, equipment, buildings, and systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
  • Carry out small repairs such as fixing locks, leaky taps, and broken windows
  • Check and maintain safety equipment, such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide detectors

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience in carrying out maintenance work
  • IOSH trained
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong safety and quality-driven mindset with a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Full UK driver\\\’s license

Advantageous:

  • Experience with mobile plant (FLT, MEWP)
  • Work at Height certification
  • Manual Handling qualification
  • Confined Space Entry experience
  • Pendent Crane use experience
