Where you\’ll be working
MEICA and capital maintenance – Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
What you\’ll be doing
A typical day includes the following activities:
- Inspect electrical and mechanical systems
- Inspect oil equipment, including draining and replacing oil systems
- Inspect fixed equipment, such as ladders, safety bars, grills, etc.
- Use tooling and measuring equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and layouts
- Operate lifting equipment and follow approved processes for transporting plant equipment
- Act as part of a rescue team for confined space entry
- Support reactive work in the event of breakdowns
- Inspect machinery, equipment, buildings, and systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
- Carry out small repairs such as fixing locks, leaky taps, and broken windows
- Check and maintain safety equipment, such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide detectors
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience in carrying out maintenance work
- IOSH trained
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong safety and quality-driven mindset with a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Full UK driver\\\’s license
Advantageous:
- Experience with mobile plant (FLT, MEWP)
- Work at Height certification
- Manual Handling qualification
- Confined Space Entry experience
- Pendent Crane use experience
