Where will you be working?

At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We\’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will join BGEN – one of the UK\’s largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What will you be doing?

Day to day you\’ll produce reports on the scope of works, concept design and detailed designs for electrical, control & instrumentation as well as completing site surveys of existing sites where required. You\’ll produce single line diagrams, block cable diagrams, electrical schematics and loop diagrams etc. We\’ll need you to produce documentation in accordance with defined standards / quality requirements along with handing sizing and modelling calculations for electrical OM cables.

Qualifications and experience

  • Do you have extensive experience (at least 5 years) in a relevant design role including successful delivery of electrical installation designs within projects for the pharmaceutical sector?
  • Do you hold a HNC or Degree in technical engineering related subject?
  • Have you got a technical engineering design background with predominantly Utility – clean and wastewater experience?
  • Are you familiar with Utility industry standard WIMES?
  • Do you have experience in AutoCAD, Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design Suite or Electrical OM Cable Sizing Software?
