Join MoFo as an Attorney Learning and Inclusion Manager in our Attorney Talent Group team. This role can be based in London, working with the global Learning & Development team to design, deliver, and evaluate training and inclusion initiatives for attorneys across regions.
Responsibilities
- Learning and Development
- Liaison with Global Team: Meets regularly with the Associate Director, Attorney Learning Design, the Senior Attorney Learning Design Manager, and other members of the global L&D team based in the U.S., as appropriate, to ensure the Manager's understanding of curricula and programs intended to be firmwide offerings.
- Curricular Assessment and Customization: Works closely with members of the firm's L&D group, L&D Liaisons, Regional practice group leaders, local partners, and Marketing Department to ensure that the curricula for various cohorts are appropriate to meet the learning and development needs of Legal Professionals in the Regions.
- Program Content Assessment and Customization: Ensures that the content of programs is appropriate based on the nature of the practices, legal structures, and learning and development needs of Legal Professionals in the Regions.
- Tactical Guidance and Regional/Local Programs: Develops deep understanding of local and Regional practices, assesses feedback from partners and associates about learning gaps, and supports development of necessary Regional or local offerings.
- Faculty Recruitment and Feedback: Recruits Regional faculty for internal trainings and coordinates with L&D group to ensure resources to improve trainings are provided to faculty.
- Offsite Training and Retreats: Supports L&D group with large in-person level-based events as needed and develops curricula for in-person Regional events.
- CLE/CPD Schemes: Develops understanding of requirements for continuing legal education/competence in the Regions' jurisdictions.
- Communications/Engagement: Supports L&D team efforts in communications regarding curricula, programs, and initiatives.
- Inclusion and Engagement Initiatives
- Liaison with Global Teams: Meets regularly with the members of the global We@MoFo team to ensure understanding of programs and initiatives intended to be firmwide offerings.
- Strategic Partner with Community Advisory Board: Acts as strategic partner in assessing Regional needs and proposing initiatives.
- Regional Affinity Networks and Groups: Supports local Affinity Groups in executing on desired initiatives and programs.
- Speaker Recruitment and Feedback: Recruits Regional speakers and panelists for internal programs.
- Data Requests and Surveys: Manages collection of Regional data for internal and external reports.
- Professional Development
- Keeps current on attorney development, training, and inclusion-related issues within the firm and in the larger legal community.
- Ensures expertise in technology relevant to the position.
- Client Service, Confidentiality, and Safety
- Promotes and models the Firm's Client Service Principles.
- Ensures compliance with the Firm's Information Handling Policy.
- General Support
- Develops relationships with Legal Professionals and staff in all offices of the Region.
- Works effectively with global L&D, We@MoFo, and other firm departments to ensure coordination and alignment of initiatives.
About You...
- Bachelor's degree required. Law degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- A minimum of four years of experience in law firm learning and development, professional development, or talent management required.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to take an assignment from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
- Advanced analytical and information gathering skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
