At MoFo, we couldn’t write our own success story without yours. Ready to write your story? Join MoFo as an Events and Marketing Executive on our Marketing team! This role is based in London, UK.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Events and Marketing Executive to join our friendly and collaborative Marketing and Business Development team in London. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to take real ownership of projects, work closely with senior stakeholders and develop a broad range of events, marketing and business development skills.

Around 70% of the role will focus on delivering a diverse programme of client events, from intimate dinners and roundtables to larger seminars, conferences, sporting hospitality and corporate entertainment. The remaining 30% will involve supporting marketing communications, campaigns and other initiatives that help strengthen the firm's profile and client relationships.

We're looking for someone who enjoys making things happen, is confident engaging with people at all levels and is keen to learn. You'll have support and guidance from the wider team, alongside the independence to manage your own responsibilities and make a meaningful contribution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Events – 70%
    • You'll play a key role in planning and delivering a busy and varied programme of client events, with opportunities to manage projects from initial idea through to execution.
    • Bring events to life: Coordinate client dinners, roundtables, webinars, and hospitality events, managing everything from venues and invitations to on-the-day delivery and follow-up.
    • Work closely with the business: Build relationships with partners, lawyers and their assistants to understand their objectives, develop event ideas and deliver a great experience for clients.
    • Take ownership: Manage event timelines, guest lists, budgets and suppliers, using systems including Salesforce, Introhive and Chrome River to keep everything running smoothly.
    • Get creative: Research new venues, restaurants and entertainment opportunities, suggest fresh ideas and help make our events memorable.
    • Support event communications: Help create invitations, event materials, internal updates and social media content, working with our global marketing teams where needed.
    • Build external relationships: Develop strong connections with venues, suppliers and hospitality partners, ensuring quality and value for money.
    • Make an impact: Support event follow-up, analyze and report on ROI, sharing stats in a clear and visual format, gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve future events.
  • Marketing and Communications – 30%
    • Alongside events, you'll gain experience across a range of marketing activities, including:
    • Coordinating client alerts, legal updates and other communications, working with lawyers and global marketing colleagues.
    • Supporting marketing campaigns and initiatives that raise the firm's profile and strengthen client engagement.
    • Maintaining lawyer biographies, credentials and other marketing content.
    • Helping manage the firm's CRM systems, including Salesforce and Introhive, ensuring contact information and mailing lists are accurate and up to date.
    • Getting involved in new projects and wider marketing initiatives as opportunities arise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

We're looking for someone with around 2-3 years' experience in events, marketing or business development, ideally within a law firm or another professional services environment. A degree in marketing or a related field desirable but not essential. Experience with CRM systems, and knowledge of London venues would be an advantage, but isn't essential. Your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important as your experience.

You'll be someone who:

  • Takes initiative: You're proactive, resourceful and comfortable taking responsibility rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  • Enjoys building relationships: You're personable, approachable and confident communicating with people at all levels, including senior partners and external contacts.
  • Is organised and reliable: You can juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain excellent attention to detail.
  • Communicates well: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
  • Brings energy and ideas: You're curious, adaptable and keen to find better ways of doing things.
  • Works well with others: You enjoy being part of a team but are equally comfortable working independently.
  • Is keen to develop: You're eager to learn new skills, take on new challenges and build your career in events and marketing.

At MoFo, we collaborate as one firm, across borders, practice areas, and business functions and value fresh ideas and innovation over conformity and competition.

MoFo offers a comprehensive benefits package starting on your first day. A variety of options for medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage to meet the needs of you and your family. Industry-leading parental leave and family benefits including fertility treatment options and backup child and elder care. Global wellness program, including free access to Talkspace and Calm apps. Dedicated Talent Development team. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO.
