About The Role
Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Project Planner (P6) to work within our Renewable Connections team based on projects throughout the UK. As a P6 Project Planner, you will report directly to the Project Manager and will ensure that individual project programmes are developed, maintained and reported in line with client and MES (Morrison Energy Services) requirements, with attention to constraints, budgets, safety and quality. You will also be responsible for collating and reporting activity completion and earned value data to support the commercial team, as well as key performance data for quality management purposes.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Develop and present detailed working programmes for project delivery both at tender and execution stage of projects.
- Support with tender and pricing activities with the development of anticipated project programmes, critical path analysis, procurement scheduling, and resource planning.
- Plan, programme and monitor design, procurement and construction activities.
- Identify and report on Critical Path activities and report accurately on these during project execution.
- Make due allowances for embedded and terminal float and identify clearly in order that clear plans and targets can be set for delivery of works both by direct teams and sub contract works packages.
- Take responsibility for coordinating all third party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into an integrated programme.
- Make project team members at all relevant levels aware of programme risks, changes to critical path, key issues and solutions in a proactive manner.
- Provision of reports and progress information to senior management and clients in line with MES and client requirements.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and external parties to ensure a collaborative approach to project coordination.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- Demonstrable systems/tools experience - Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office suite minimum 5 years.
- Experience of planning on a variety of engineering projects; demonstrate understanding and experience on complex electricity infrastructure projects.
- Previous relevant project management and costing experience within the HV electrical sector.
- Good working knowledge of NEC3 and FIDIC contracts or similar.
- Able to facilitate and lead on the development of schedules with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of project delivery and programme management.
- Effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.
