Overview
As a Cloud Security Engineer at Cyro Cyber, you design, implement and strengthen security across Azure and Microsoft 365. You will lead engineering delivery of cloud security controls for identity, access, governance, networking, and data protection within critical infrastructure projects. You’ll use automation and Infrastructure as Code to deliver scalable, secure-by-design solutions while ensuring compliance and resilience. You’ll collaborate with security architects, clients and stakeholders to advance cloud security services and best practices. This role offers meaningful impact in transforming cloud security for mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities
- Implement and improve Azure and Microsoft 365 security controls
- Secure cloud identities, privileged access, networks, workloads and data
- Develop automated, repeatable security solutions using Infrastructure as Code
- Produce technical designs, documentation and operational standards
- Conduct security reviews, hardening activities and technical assurance
- Support clients and project teams with expert cloud security guidance
Key requirements
- Strong hands-on experience engineering and securing Microsoft Azure environments
- Practical capability across Azure security domains (identity, governance, networking, workload protection, logging, secrets management)
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Privileged Identity Management; knowledge of Azure security technologies (Policy, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Monitor, Log Analytics)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code or scripting tools (Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI)
- Ability to translate architectural requirements into LLDs, build documentation, test plans and runbooks
- Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud configuration, access, policy and integration issues
- Understanding of cloud security principles (least privilege, defence in depth, secure-by-design, segmentation, encryption, continuous monitoring)
- Good client-facing communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work autonomously, lead work packages and guide colleagues
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
