About The Role Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Head of SHEQ Distribution & Connections to work across the UK. As the Head of SHEQ Distribution & Connections you will be part of our SHEQ team who lead a professional and comprehensive approach to SHEQ governance, assurance, ongoing support and guidance across Energy Distribution & Connections in order to drive, deliver and execute the SHEQ performance improvement agenda working across all contracts and across the Energy SHEQ function. To oversee SHEQ performance and improvement opportunities maintaining an expert knowledge of key SHEQ issues in Distribution & Connections to manage and prioritise a project workload effectively. Be responsible for the delivery of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) performance and improvement opportunities reporting directly to the Energy SHEQ Director. This role will be national covering contracts and stakeholders UK wide. As the Head of SHEQ Distribution & Connections your responsibilities will include: Provide SHEQ strategic advice, leadership and guidance to the MD, Contract and SHEQ Leads for Distribution and Connections and implement improved performance opportunities. Drive and deliver the Energy Division’s SHEQ strategy across Distribution & Connections. Manage, develop and support appointed SHEQ Contract resources to ensure delivery of the Energy SHEQ strategy. Oversee and manage the D&C SHEQ risk profile working with the Energy SHEQ Director. Develop and implement key SHEQ business improvement opportunities across D&C. Provide expert SHEQ advice and support to all the Energy SHEQ teams. Contribute to key SHEQ communications and engagement tools. Support with the production of SHEQ tender documentation across D&C as required. Contribute to the production of key SHEQ industry award schemes. Plan and manage internal SHEQ audits across the D&C function.  Ensure the maintenance and management of key accreditations across D&C. Lead on significant incident and accident investigations across D&C and present/communicate findings at relevant Governance meetings Work with other Heads of SHEQ and SHEQ Managers (and SHEQ Advisors) to formulate combined best practices for D&C. Provide direct support to the Energy SHEQ Director as requested Skills & Knowledge Requirements Industry experience Professional Competence as demonstrated by Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH or MIRSM). National Diploma or NVQ5/6 Health and Safety / BSc or MSc Health and Safety. Environmental knowledge competence. Understanding of quality assurance management systems and requirements. Experienced in managing teams, project delivery and process improvement. Strong communicator with an ability to operate at a senior management level at both contractor and client levels. Strong analytical and IT skills with the ability to produce plans, spreadsheets, reports, alerts and presentations. Flexible approach and the ability to work to tight timescales.
