About The Role Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Lead Design Engineer you will be part of our OHL Design team who are responsiblefor supporting the MESTN Construction business . We are looking for someone who can lead, co-ordinate and produce design engineering solutions to support MESTN OHL and Substation construction projects. To lead and co-ordinate design projects ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. As the Lead Design Engineer your duties & responsibilities will be: Manage day to day overhead line design activities, liaising closely with the Design Manager. To act not only as project lead but also in the capacity of senior design resource in support of other projects by delivering high quality design outputs when required. To maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of National Grid, SPEN, ENA and other relevant industry standards. Develop specific design processes, policy and training manuals. Liaise regularly with other Engineers and Technicians to maximise productivity. Review, develop, encourage and train engineering staff.
