About The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Transformation Director to take ownership of forward planning, overall strategy, and continuous improvement.
Electricity Transmission, operating in the Overhead Line and Substation Transmission space, is uniquely positioned to realise the huge growth opportunities coming from the surge of net zero construction programmes about to start across England, Scotland, and Wales. With an industry-leading delivery reputation, and positions on all three Transmission Operator frameworks, now is the time to invest in building the business to maximise the opportunities ahead.
We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual, possibly with a demonstrable record of affecting change and growth, to join the business reporting directly to the Managing Director. The role is to lead and support the ambitious growth agenda and for this, we require a flexible, innovative, and imaginative team player with excellent communication and influencing skills.
Reporting to the Managing Director, your duties & responsibilities as the Transformation Director will include:
- Focus on growth and transformation.
- Develop strategies for future recruitment and retention.
- Development of staff including planning training and education where needed.
- Building on and improving processes and systems.
- Development of cultural identity and work environment.
- Create and champion technical innovations.
- Build strategies to improve the way we deal with our clients and our contracting approach.
- Working closely with multiple stakeholders and departments, including the wider Group, to achieve success.
- Develop the vision and strategy as well as engaging people to deliver.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Experience of working in the infrastructure or utility sectors.
- Successful background in transformation projects across multiple areas.
- A proven leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can engage across all levels.
- Experience working with various stakeholders, able to multi-task and adapt approach as required.
- Detailed understanding of strategic planning.
- Excellent I.T. skills (MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Access).
- Future looking approach, with a focus on solutions.
