We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our Finance team working across our 4 core operating businesses. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone starting a career in finance. You will be responsible for helping to manage the company's sales ledger, ensuring customers pay invoices on time, and supporting the wider finance team in maintaining healthy cash flow. Full training will be provided, so no prior credit control experience is required although welcome, just a positive attitude, good numeracy, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Chase outstanding invoices by telephone, email and letter, ensuring timely payment from customers
- Allocate incoming payments accurately to customer accounts on the sales ledger
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly
- Send statements, payment reminders and dunning letters in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activity
- Escalate problem accounts or potential bad debts to the Credit Control Manager
- Assist with setting up new customer accounts and running credit checks
- Support month-end reporting, including aged debtor analysis
- Build positive working relationships with customers and internal teams such as Sales and Customer Service

- Well organised, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Outlook (training on accounting software will be provided)
