We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fibre Engineer to work within our team in Livingston to support our Fibre and Data Division. You will be expected to work well on your own initiative as well as part of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, and adhere to current regulations and safety standards while working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Passport to Safety/ECS/CSCS card
  • Experience in splicing and testing fibre optics to a good level
  • On‑site training and certification will be provided as relevant

Key Tasks

  • Install, terminate and test internal and external fibre optic cable
  • Use OTDR, power source and light meter testing equipment
  • Pull and install fibre optic cable into cable management systems
  • Build and install fibre termination boxes and enclosures

Job Requirements

  • Level 3 or higher Diploma in Telecommunication Systems
  • Clean driving licence and full valid UK driving licence
  • Physically fit and healthy – medical fitness test required (Chester Step Test)
  • Ability to work at heights and outdoors in all weathers
  • Industry‑recognised trade or professional qualification or relevant experience
  • Record of delivering on high‑value and fast‑paced fibre optic projects
