About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the role will offer training, mentoring and career development opportunities. This role can be based at either our Glasgow, Almondvale, Leeds or Warrington Office; however, Hybrid working is available.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in preparing, pricing and submitting tenders to a high quality, will have full analytical estimating knowledge and will also be experienced in the preparation of contract preliminaries. You will ideally have gained experience predominantly within a fitout / housing / general construction environment. From your experience, you will have developed the confidence to work on your own initiative, and the ability to settle quickly into this challenging role. You will be educated to at least HND level, demonstrating a strong understanding of estimating issues. You will have robust commercial acumen with good negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, architects, suppliers and sub-contractors to build strong and rewarding ongoing relationships.

Personal Attributes

You will be a dedicated Estimator with a background in the achievement of multiple tender wins. While an analytical approach and excellent time management skills are imperative to the role, the successful candidate will be able to show they have the drive and energy to continually look for ways to improve our business success rate. The successful candidate must have proven success within a similar role. You will have good communication skills as you will be required to express your opinions both in writing and verbally at internal and external meetings, with the ability to work well as part of a team, interacting positively with colleagues and clients.
