Morris & Spottiswood is a leading provider of fitout, refurbishment, retrofit and construction services in the UK. An independently owned firm, with a proud track record of excellence, we aim high, act responsibly and value our staff and customers. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the role will offer training, mentoring and career development opportunities. This role is based at our Bristol Office, and hybrid working is available 2-3 days a week.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in preparing, pricing and submitting tenders to a high quality, will have full analytical estimating knowledge and will also be experienced in the preparation of contract preliminaries. You will ideally have gained experience working for a main contractor predominantly within a fitout / general construction environment. From your experience, you will have developed the confidence to work on your own initiative, have strong knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple tenders and tight deadlines. You will have robust commercial acumen, good negotiation skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, architects, suppliers and subcontractors to build strong and rewarding ongoing relationships.

You will have good communication skills as you will be required to express your opinions both in writing and verbally at internal and external meetings. With the ability to work well as part of a team, interacting positively with colleagues across different offices and clients from multiple accounts.
