Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is looking for a talented and experienced Civil Engineer or Stormwater Engineer/Designer to join our dynamic Land Group at our Corporate Office in Abingdon, Maryland. This is a full-time position with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This position does not have a hybrid or remote option.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and support the development of innovative design solutions for site layouts, water and sewer systems, roadway and storm drain designs, and more.
  • Prepare soil erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management and construction stormwater plans, floodplain studies, and grading plans.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and leadership to meet project goals and exceed client expectations.
  • Utilize your knowledge of Maryland SWM and ESC regulations to guide design and compliance (a strong plus).

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; experience with Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, or other hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
  • Experience in stormwater plans and management, floodplain analysis, and knowledge of wetland delineation/design is highly desirable.
  • A team-player mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
