Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Evesham for a Vehicle Electrical Integration Engineer – HV & LV Systems. The role involves designing, integrating, and validating high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems for the Morris JE, ensuring safe and reliable operation across the vehicle platform. Day-to-day tasks include working with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, developing system architectures, coordinating interfaces between components, and supporting harness design and packaging. The engineer will perform diagnostic investigations, resolve electrical integration issues, and support testing activities, including bench testing, HIL, and vehicle-level validation. The role also includes documenting designs, maintaining configuration control, collaborating with suppliers, and supporting continuous improvement of electrical integration processes.

Essential Experience and Capability

  • Degree or equivalent experience in electrical/electronic engineering, automotive engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on vehicle-development experience integrating both HV electric-powertrain hardware and LV electrical systemsβ€”not solely selecting or specifying components.
  • Practical experience commissioning and validating several of: battery pack/BMS, EVCC, VCU, EDU/inverter, onboard charging, DC/DC conversion, HV PDU or LV body systems.
  • Ability to interpret supplier documentation and produce vehicle requirements, schematics, interface specifications, test plans and structured fault investigations.
  • Working knowledge of CAN-based vehicle networks, diagnostics and engineering tools for measurement, logging and analysis.
  • Sound understanding of HV safety, HVIL, isolation, pre-charge, EMC/EMI, grounding, circuit protection, FMEA and design validation.
  • Clear technical communication and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with body control modules, HMI/display integration, lighting or vehicle access systems.
  • Awareness of ISO 26262, ISO 21434, Automotive SPICE and relevant EV electrical regulations/standards.
  • Experience taking a low-volume or new vehicle programme from concept through prototype and production launch.
  • Knowledge of harness design tools, CANoe/CANalyzer, MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent automotive engineering tools.
