Job Title : Head of Enterprise Sector (Sales ) – Hybrid (Hunting & Farming)

Location : London

Salary: £140k – £150k base – 50% bonus

Position Overview :

The Head of Enterprise Sales will play a key role in driving revenue growth by both securing new business and nurturing relationships with our existing enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in selling platform engineering solutions, custom software development services , and managing £20M sector You will lead a dynamic sales team focused on large-scale accounts, blending both hunting for new opportunities and farming to deepen relationships and expand business within established clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop a high-performing enterprise sales team, focusing on both new business acquisition (hunting) and expanding revenue within existing accounts (farming).
  • Drive the sales strategy for platform engineering and custom software development services, identifying opportunities within both new and existing enterprise clients.
  • Manage a £20M Sector , ensuring effective resource allocation, optimizing profitability, and driving financial performance across all sales activities.
  • Build and implement targeted sales plans to penetrate new markets , secure high-value deals, and maximize upsell opportunities within current accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, customer success) to ensure tailored solutions that meet client needs and drive long-term satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships , ensuring the delivery of excellent service and uncovering additional opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline , providing forecasts, performance metrics, and reports to senior leadership.
  • Coach and mentor sales team members, fostering professional development and high levels of performance.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments in platform engineering and custom software development.
  • Develop and manage complex sales cycles , from initial lead generation through to negotiation and closing, ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in enterprise sales, with a focus on platform engineering and custom software development solutions.
  • Track record of managing a P&L of GBP 20M or more, with strong financial acumen and the ability to drive profitability and revenue growth.
  • Expertise in consultative sales , with the ability to engage senior decision-makers and drive strategic conversations.
  • A blend of hunting and farming skills, with the ability to acquire new clients while nurturing and expanding existing relationships.
  • Strong experience in selling complex technology solutions in a B2B environment, particularly for enterprise-level organizations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience in developing, coaching, and motivating a high-performing sales team.
  • Expertise in negotiation and closing high-value contracts with large enterprise clients.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales forecasting tools , with a data-driven approach to sales management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the platform engineering and custom software development landscape, with the ability to articulate technical value propositions effectively.
  • Experience working with global clients and navigating complex sales environments, particularly in the technology and software development sectors.
