Morningstar DBRS (MDBRS) is seeking an experienced professional to join its Global Investor Strategy team with responsibility for expanding relationships with key institutional investor clients, including asset managers, insurers, and investment funds. The Investor Development Group focuses on promoting our coverage, brand, and credit expertise to influential market participants, with the goal of deepening investor engagement with MDBRS’s ratings, research, products, and services. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving global outreach and enhancing market visibility, with a particular focus on infrastructure, corporate, and structured finance debt investors, and coverage of major institutional investors across Europe. This role reports to the Head of Global Investor Strategy and is based in the London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement coverage strategy for Investor Development in Europe.
  • Lead coverage activities with key European institutional investors (credit analysts, portfolio managers, heads of research) and act as senior relationship touchpoint across investor client base in the region.
  • Proactively identify and develop new strategic relationships with institutional investors.
  • Establish best practices, working collaboratively across Marketing, Business Development and Analytical teams to build brand visibility with investors, enhance investor engagement and usage of relevant Morningstar DBRS services.
  • Develop, lead and execute new strategic investor-focused initiatives, promoting MDBRS’s unique credit perspectives through meetings, conferences, webinars, and bespoke events.
  • Track and maintain engagement data through CRM for internal reporting and analysis.
  • Solicit and analyze investor feedback to provide timely insights into topical credit market views across ratings and products.
  • Facilitate demand for MDBRS ratings, usage in investment decisions, and in conjunction with the Business Development team demand for MDBRS research and related products.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of business development experience in a debt capital markets or fixed income sales capacity with a focus on credit.
  • Strong existing relationships with relevant fixed income investors across public and private credit markets, project finance, structured finance and corporate credit.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex investor accounts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus.
